Why Me? (A Deeper Look)
This is the question I ask myself, and God, more often than I’d like to admit. Unfortunately, the only answer I seem to get these days is “just because.”
I don’t know if you’ve ever been in this situation, but if so, you’re in good company.
As a writer, my days vacillate between the absolute amazement and splendor of a frozen blade of grass to the utter despair that I haven’t accomplished anything worthwhile in my day (or life, depending on my mood).
There’s a hard line we all have to balance on and, God knows, it’s not easy. With how tough things get sometimes, I can’t imagine doing it without him, or the stories he’s given me. Stories keep me going.
Ever since I was young, I wrote stories. Many have, and ever will be, for my eyes only. Some exist and are in a box somewhere because I wrote them as a present for a family member when I was younger. Even more are floating around on bits of paper, old notebooks, multiple flash drives, and my expansive imagination. My prayer is that they will all make it to print someday (with the exception of a few).
Until then, I keep praying for guidance as I seek to find the path that has been placed before me, trusting that there is “a season for everything,” and that God will lead me through the dark valleys and high mountains with continued grace and tenderness.
